    Rate: £500 - £750 per day (depending on experience)

    Role Responsibilities

    You will be the senior technical authority during our first phase of growth.Responsibilities include:

    • Installing and commissioning solar PV inverters and battery systems

    • AC/DC wiring, testing, verification and certification

    • Ensuring installations comply with BS 7671, G98/G99 and MIS 3002

    • Signing off electrical works and ensuring technical compliance

    • Documentation during and after the installation and commissioning

    • Working alongside our roof installation team on domestic projects

    Design Responsibilities

    As Senior Technical Lead you will also take responsibility for final PV/battery system design, including:

    • MPPT/string configuration

    • Inverter and battery selection

    • Electrical schematics

    • Cable sizing and protective device selection

    • SPES and electrical calculations

    • Compliance with BS 7671, G98/G99, and MIS 3002

    • Producing or approving MCS design documentation

    • Providing a Bill of Materials

    All roof surveys, measurements, and client-side information will be provided. But will require sign off prior to installation day. 

    All work is subcontracted. Fees are paid promptly on completion.You will not be responsible for sales, surveying, procurement or company admin.All work is insured and covered under company insurance policies.

    Required Skills & Experience

    Essential

    • 18th Edition qualified electrician

    • ECS Gold Card

    • Strong domestic electrical background

    • PV and/or battery installation experience

    • Testing & inspection competence

    • Strong understanding of safe isolation, DC systems, and inverter commissioning

    Desirable

    • Sigenergy, Eleven Energy and/or GoodWe system experience

    • Battery storage qualifications

    • Prior involvement in MCS audits or compliance

    We are preparing for MCS accreditation and are seeking a highly competent, experienced electrician for the installation of electrical inverter and battery storage systems in an ongoing relationship.

    This is a long-term subcontract partnership for an experienced professional who wants flexibility, autonomy and the chance to help shape a premium brand from the ground up.

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking skilled PV mounting installers to complete the roof-side installation of domestic solar systems on an on-going subcontractor basis.
    Electrical work is handled by our own electricians, this role is purely mounting panels, rails and roof fixingsetc.

    Responsibilities:

    • Install roof anchors, rails and PV modules to strictly to design specifications and warranty requirements

    • Work confidently on an assortment of roof layouts and materials

    • Installation of bird-mesh or solar skirt

    • Work safely with scaffolding and follow site procedures

    • Document installs as you go along

    • Communicate with our electrician to ensure smooth handover

    • Maintain a tidy, respectful presence on customer sites

    Additional:

    • Assist with battery and/or inverter lift (if required)

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Completed an apprenticeship or traineeship approved by SVQ

    • Experience in completing Solar PV installation work

    • Attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship

    • Solar PV installation trainingor certification

    • Strong teamwork and communication skills

    • Necessary tools to complete the work

    (Preferred)

    • Experience with K2 Mounting Systems

    • Working at Heights / CSCS / equivalent safety certification
